Looking to the Future

Looking to the Future

“Design can be art. Design can be aesthetics. Design is so simple, that’s why it is so complicated,” so said Paul Rand in 1997. Incorporatewear believes Mr Rand could as easily have been talking about corporate clothing as graphic design!
1997 was coincidently the first year of trading for Incorporatewear, which has since sustained an unparalleled ethos of creative design and innovation.
“It would seem to be a time requiring conversation, collaboration and creativity…“
Incorporatewear draws its inspiration from a number of sources, not least from Jeff Banks CBE, a founder member of the company, and a continuingly influential figure in UK fashion.
External influences are important too and recently Paula Cannon, Incorporatewear’s Designer, attended the latest LS:N Global Trend Briefing in London. LS:N is an online network owned and operated by The Future Laboratory which offers a tantalising insight into worldwide consumer trends and drivers.
Attempting to encapsulate the lifestyle trends and consumer needs for the next decade into a briefing was always going to be a challenge; distilling them into understanding the effects on corporate wardrobes even more so.
“LS:N predicts a Decade of the Turbulent Teens: fundamental changes in lifestyles, values and technological awareness,” explains Paula. “It would seem to be a time requiring conversation, collaboration and creativity, or the 3-Cs, but most salient to Incorporatewear will be the growing impact of environmental and ethical awareness as well as the increasing importance of providing real value.”
If LS:N is correct then Incorporatewear is well prepared for the future. The company already prides itself on its rigorous adherence to internal CSR and Environmental policies. These, it feels, best protect its clients without signing up to the often incomplete guidelines of third-party organisations.
Incorporatewear also covers the 3-Cs; setting out to offer an approach that meets clients’ expectations, whilst blending style and practicality with innovation and design.
